Wake Up Everyone,

I think this is the Hardy-Challenge...How bout we do a sit up and push up challenge for each month. Anything else you do will be extra pat on your shoulder. Garrett has this thing about 10,000 push up by the end of the year or first person by the end of the year.

How bout we set a simpler goal of maybe who can do the most push ups and sit ups in a month. I think I can focus month to month on this goal as a pose to something that will take a 6 to 8 months to accomplish.

Let me hear what you guys think. Eric and Garrett. Or anyone else that post who wants to join in.

So here it goes, my goal is to post my work outs every other day including Monday Wenesday and and Friday and if I dont I must do double the next day. I hope all of you are dong better than I have been doing. My weight is showing my lack of enthusiam. I have gained back 5 pounds and that is disapointing.

GAE,

Well it looks like no one has posted for a while me included. I took a couple of weeks off. Then I get sick with something called the airrocinus fluenuez. I will be okay I just need some rest and water.

Anyhow this last saturday I decided I would ride 15 miles and then run a 3K. I don't think I will ever run a 3K ever again or until I lose 50lbs. 220 dude need not run that distance. Eric when are you coming down to the valley?

Saturday, March 14, 2009

All Hail Garrett!

So I ran 1/4 of a mile the other day to test myself (which remember it's still in the 30's here) and that was not a good idea! So last night I rode my bike for half a mile and felt pretty good so I am going to start going (if all the stars align-could you help me out Master of All-Garrett) longer and longer each day. My dog was pushing me pretty hard last night too, so I have found a personal training coach in the form of a 90 lbs German Shepherd Dog.......Introducing DIESEL!

That wagon is big im in there too

Hey im sorry that I did not post for a while Spring Break is a killer. I did not end up going to Vegas so I did not win any money :-( but it would not matter if I did, I dont Gamble :-) So I have been working out every day but I have also been not eating very well. And you would have guessed it I started gaining weight. A couple of pounds. Im tell you Excercise is important but your eating habbits are the key to health. So figure out what works for you and do it no crazy fad diets just eat healthy and make sure that every meal has a lot of fiber, I did not realize how important the fiber is but make no doubt about it is very important.
Today some big numbers.
Run 35 minutes for 3.852 miles
well I better get back on track.
Garrett Hardy
Oh and how come when I dont post no one calls and yells at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, March 9, 2009

Ouch!

I feel of the wagon last week - and it really hurt! I haven't exercised AT ALL in over a week - unless you count skiing! I hurt my already messed up ankle when we went skiing for our anniversary/john's b-day and it hurt to walk...It's feeling better so I'm back at it today. Here goes!

No Love No Love

Ra Ra Garrin, Ra Ra Garrin, if he can't do it, Misty probably can! Nice to see people posting again! I did try to ride the bike the other day, but I got around the block and about died (my poor little legs are still hurting). However, tomorrow I am starting a week of light cardio to get built back up, and then bang I'll be kickin' some trash. So you old man river (Garrin) better be on the look out! And you Misty, I don't know you but I'll still give you crap. (Atleast you can spell better than your high and mighty brother)! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha J/K Garrett you know I love ya man, can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Last sat did 40 min cardio along with wed 40 min cardio. will head over there tonight after work! Not a great week.

3/7/09

What the L!!!!!!(lettuce),

It is greatly appreciated that Eric is trying to get the word out about individuals that do not post. I mean it is someone other than the workout nazi(Garrett) getting after everyone. I mean Eric has not even been working out (we know your sick) and wants other to do so. I mean come on people "Bring it on" we need more cheerleaders. So thank you Eric for your spirit fingers slash post of motivation. With that said I would like to say that I worked out Friday and Saturday.

Friday biceps and back

curls 65 for 3 sets of 10
preacher curls 25 for 3 set of 10
Lat pull down 140 for 10, 150 for 10, 160 for 8
sitting rows 140 for 10, 150 for 10 , 150 for 10
ran 1.86 at 5mph 35 mintue intervals 3% incline.

Saturday,
rode 2 hours 30 miles thru Awatukee Foothills.

This next week I am resting from all the lifting. I plan on running and cycling all week for cardio. That seems to be the only thing that loses the weight.

Garrett, did win any money so you can buy a bicycle?

I'm Still Here!

Yeah I'm still here checking the posts everyday, just still not feeling better, fever came back today so it will still be a couple of more days. Sorry Your Royal Heinie Garrett. (Yes, I said Heinie as in buttocks)!

Keep up the good work

Im glad that everone is starting to post. Garrin your daughter is beautiful and she looks very healthy. We are doing great Kari need some modivation and Kristen I think that you are only one to give it to her. She is feeling very discouraged I hope we can get her up and going
Eric Where the heck are you. I saw that you are sick hopfully you get better fast. We need to get you going quick.
Kristen It sounds like you are really moving. I forgot about the nursing thing so ya keep it up nursing is more important and from what I have read you will loose more weight as you nurse anyway. See if John want so join the blog. he is probably just as bussy as I am with school but I know that 30 minutes a day is doable
Misty try to do somthing every day even if it is only 20 minutes. You are doing great. We need to give Chris and Brett a call and get them back on.
Here is my work out for the last couple of days.
Monday
Run 3.33 miles in 30.50 minutes
Tuesday
Bike 6.894 miles in 30 minutes
Pusups 60
situps 36
Wed
Run 2.988 miles in 30 minutes with interval trianing
I noticed that my weight drop had stoped for about 2 weeks so I changed up my workout by starting to do interval trianing to do this I would raise the incline 1 point every minute untill I reach an incline of 8 then I would start over at a speed of about5.7mph.
Now the weight is starting to come off again.
Lession you must change up your workout every once in a while to keep you body guessing whats coming. So your body does not become adapt to the same workout and your progress stops.
By the way I weighed in at 195 this morning that is 25 pound lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo!

Thanks Garrett, I'm glad to know you're proud of me! I lost 3 lbs last week. The workouts are going really well. I think I'm going to need to start pushing my self harder, but I'm afraid of over-kill. I don't want to get hurt or anything (and I'm so out of shape it wouldn't take much!). I didn't work out Friday or Saturday as Friday night we had commitments that started too early in the evening to allow a workout, and Saturday's I have Evelynne all day (at least 16 hours) alone while John is at work. It gets crazy. And have I mentioned that she won't take naps when I"m home with her?

But I'm back on the wagon. Today I will do the arm workout I was supposed to do on Saturday, and I will walk for half an hour (around 4000 steps - the cardio from Friday). The pilates will have to wait.

I haven't hugely reduced my caloric intake since I am still nursing Evelynne at least twice a day...I'm having to find a balance so I can still lose weight AND nurse her...I'm shooting for about 1800 calories a day and I'm following the guidelines for the Body for Life - a lean protein, 1 serving carbohydrate and an ADDITIONAL serving of veggies...lots of fruits and vegetables. It's basically the same thing - just well balanced nutrition. It's going really well.

John and I got your email about going to the Grand Canyon. I'm totally down! We have mountain bikes but its too cold here to bike yet. And John works on Saturdays so we can't go anywhere for the weekends. But I'm sure we could think of something cause we would LOVE to meet you guys at the Grand Canyon for a few days. That would be really fun! Go team!

No Post

Sorry that I haven't posted in couple of days, I have been sick with a temp of 102.5 and have strep. So I won't be working out for a couple more days. This getting sick crap is getting old, going on 3 weeks!

Its that time of the week again.

Kristen it is good to hear from you just when I think that you arent here any more you pop up and give us all a suprise. great job by the way you should be droping weight like crazy, How is your eating are you sticking to a lower calorie diet. Kari has one that she has been following and it has been working great for her. It is not some fad diet eaither it is just a well ballanced diet based on a 1500 calorie diet per day. Call her if interested.
So here is the great once a week killer workout and boy today im paying for it, but I am seeing results and that is paying off. I am noticing the biggest changes in my upper body and my bench is slowley getting back up to the highest ive ever benched in highschool of 255# so hopfully in a couple of months I will be there again. The biggest thing that is bringing up the numbers though is the "Negative Lifts" after a set of those you are trashed the next day but according to "Men's Health" that is what jump starts you matoblisim or however you spell it. Kristen you should get John a copy at Wallmart He would probaly love it. Also Kristen did you get the message about meetingup sometime at the Grandcanyon this summer. You and John should get some Mountain bikes and start training so we can get some serious riding in.
Ok enough talk her is the workout.

suggestions

Hey everone I had a great day for a workout. Misty here are some suggestions. You must strengen your core as you go. Along with working on the big mucle groups you must train your core mucles to hold the weight you are lifting. This is often a vital part of a workout that everone misses. find the back extention machine and do 3 sets of 10 reps each time you work out and then on your days you are home make sure that you do 3 sets of 12 reps on a swiss ball. This must be done every day and as you do this you will notice that your posture is also being corrected and that you will slowly start to loose the back pain that often comes from heavy lifting. Also as you lift make small goals and keep track of you lifts on a piece of paper and make sure to take that same paper to the gym with you each time to track you progress. each time that I go to the gym i take a orange piece of paper that has the last workouts on it and I do one of two things I will look at the work out for last week and either try to do the same weight with more reps or try to do more weight with the same reps. Try to push yourself. I want to write more but my wife is nagging me to go to bed so I will post the workouts that I did today, Tomorrow.
Garrett Hardy

Hello!

Wednesday i did cardio for 30 min and thurs cardio for 45 min. My plan is to add weights next week. any suggestions from all of you that are doing great with them. I was told once to start with biggest muscle groups because it gave me the biggest results meaning that by building large muscle groups i can burn more fat.. sounds right? Thanks Misty

Hello All

This is Misty. I'm Garrett's Sister. I needed some more motivation and support in my life so I decided to join this business! I had lost 65 pounds last year and then fell off the wagon and gained some back. My goal is to keep going and not gain back this time! Everytime I find a support buddy they back out on me so i'm joining this rehab program. "HI My name is Misty and I want to lose weight.... " and now everyone in unison ("welcome Misty")
well here's my week so far.
Monday 30 min cardio
Tuesday 30 min cardio
Wednesday 45 min cardio
Thursday 35 min cardio

I wanted to spend a few weeks just working on cardio and then start with weights so that should be an adventure. I need accountability so feel free to harrass me! See Ya! Misty

Garrett Post

Hey im sorry that I did not post for Friday and I will do better. I did workout and I think that im regressing. I need to change up my workout. Im currently looking for an upright excercise bike to change up the workout a little. I any of you see some good deal on some excercise bike let me know.
so here is some of what I did Friday
Run
30.25 minutes and for a distance of 3.248mi
and all the other norms such as pushup and situps

Today
I ran 30 minutes for a distance of 2.993 miles
60 pushups
36 situps
90 curls at 25#

I worked out with a guy who had me change up my workout at the gym and he had me do some lifts called negatives this is where you control the lift on the way down for a count of 3 then you have someone else lift it back up for you . He said that this stretches the mucle and boy was I sore Try it and see what it does for you. All of your lift including pushups do this negative control the decent of the lift.
rember to stretch before you lift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAUTION

I hope I didn't mislead any one in the Gallon of water daily. That is an optimum quantity. If you only get half a gallon that is great, but like I said if you are drinking other liquids you need to make sure you drink that much "more" water to flush out the toxins/salt you get from the "Sports Drinks". You should only drink a sports drink during or right after a work out as a recovery drink, not in the middle of the day and even then only if it is an extreme workout of high intensity movement and still only maybe 8 oz. Like Garrett said it is a shame to loose 400 cal. only to get 150-200 of them back chugging down a gatorade, if you don't need the carbs back just drink some water. But water alone doesn't give you the fuel needed to perform at your highest degree. Moderation goes a long way with the "Sports Drinks". But if water isn't what you're feeling at the moment, get a "Sports drink" over the soda. (Oh yeah get a straw too, it will save your teeth and your breath)! Here is another great link to a Water over Sports Drink article. http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/hydrationandfluid/a/ProperHydration.htm

And hey why is it only Garrett and I talking about this? Do some research and let us know what you find. As much as Garrett and I like to think we know it all (which we do know a hell of a lot shiz, even we can learn something)! (I heard that Kari)! So jump in the conversation let us know what you find and think.

If I can offer any last bit of advice for today it would be to do your cardio and weight lifting workouts on different days. Cardio takes a lot of energy out of you, I would say more than lifting and you don't want to get hurt. And remember quality over quantity!

My workout for the past few days...

So I have been trying to really stick with doing cardio 3 days a week. And of course trying to stay on target with eating right!! It has been going good! Of course I have a great partner who is working his butt off, so that helps that we are doing this together!!

Monday- 20 minutes of cardio
Abs/push-ups
Wednesday- 20 minutes of cardio
Thursday- 20 minutes of cardio

I know that the 20 minutes isn't much, but I am working my way into a lifestyle change and a gradual time increase as I go!! I am already feeling better-crazy how out of shape I really was!! I am really proud of everyone making a commitment to making their lives healthier!! So, keep up the good work!!

I did not fall off the wagon

Hey guys and gals
Welcome Kristen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how can we get John on this?
Things are going great. I have finally broken the 200lb benchmark for my weight. This is the lowest that I have been in 3 years, it is great.
On the Fluid issue i would caution everyone to advance very slowly, it is important to drink alot but too much water is deadly. Also the drinks that are out to Aid you be carful of the calories becuse you dont want to run for half and hour burn 400 calories only to drink 120 of them back by drinking poweraid or gatroade. The other problem with these two drinks is the salt content. Water is the best overall.
My workout for the last couple of day
Yesterday
75 pushups
36 situps
3 sets of lunges
30 minutes of running at 3.25 miles

Today
This one is for Garrin
Bike training 20 minutes at 6.5 miles
Bench 160lbs for 10
195 for 8
195 for 5
Curls 35lbsfor 10
30 for 10
10 for 6
Back ext.
3 sets of 10 each
Leg ext. 90lbs x 10
110lbs x 12
140 lbs x 10
Machine flys
135 lbs x 10
175 lbs x 10
200 lbs x 10
Core pull ups
3 sets of 12
lunges
50lbs for 40 yards for 3 sets.
Ya that is all, I know that I havent been posting enough so I will do better.
Hey lets all get a good workout in tomorrow and keep eating good through the weekend.
Remember we are not looking for fast results but Long term health.
Hey any new challenges?????

Fluids

Garrin I hope you are feeling better, and welcome Kristin to a healthier better life!

I do know that you need to drink just over a gallon of water (4L) a day. Which is a ton of water, when you think you generally only drink between 2-3 cups of water a day, not even a quart! Also think of the salt intake you have each day. Salt sucks the water away from your vital organs very quickly especially your brain. Perhaps you should start by drinking a quart of water a day, and every other day add a pint to that quart until you are up to the optimal 4L daily.

Where we are working out (especially if followed with a moisture sucking suana sit) it is extremely important to get as much water as possible. Remember that juices, gatorade, and other drinks (my new personal favorite CHOCOLATE MILK) all contain water in them so add that to your 4L of liquid a day, NOT SODA! Soda is good tasting but won't do anything to help you, in small quantities it won't hurt, but won't do any good. Just make sure that more than half of your liquid intake is water, as it will flush toxins and other not so good things quicker. Hope this helps, I got the 4L factoid from a survival book I have by Les Stroud! Yeah he pretty much kicks butt!

GME,

FYI I thought I had lost 5 lbs in body mass and the guy I work out with said that was just water weight. You can slim down with going to a sauna. Or get sick and lose fluids. Has any heard how much fluids you need to retain to be healthy? I had just thought of this and need to ask my friend if there is a healthy level of fluids to have or not.

Recovery Drink +

If you're like me you can't afford to be drinking Gatorade or the like after each workout. And where water doesn't provide the much needed nutrients after a workout, try Chocolate Milk....YES I SAID Chocolate Milk! Check out this web site.

So be a kid! Drink it up! ROCK ON! And remember that happy cows come from California!

SISSY

Dude, I told you not to pick up that 25 pounder. You're such an idiot. GOSH! Garrin, Garrett needs a bandaid for his boo-boo, since I don't live close enough will you go give him one and kiss it better, too? He might need a shoulder to cry on, too!

Things have been crazy here, lately but I have been shoveling snow for the last couple of days which I count as an upper-mid-body workout. It takes about 30-45 minutes especially when the plow comes by. I haft to (I couldn't resist Garrett sorry) get started on P90X this next week, snow or no snow, I am going to get an inhaler as well so that I can't use my lungs as a copout as well. Later. Oh yeah Garrin, I put my pics up there and started to get weird text's from Garrett, just ignore them and he'll change personalities eventually. Nice bike though, my grandma would be jealous!

Ok I get it in gear

I admit I have been a slacker. but I did do alot of armwrestling with the boys this weekend. They are tougher than they look. I will work to beat all of them solid next time. I did beat all the boys by the way but one of the leaders should have beat me. I cheated and lifted my elbow off the table. That is awsome about the bike I know of someone who needs a roadbike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. So here is the workout I did today.

1/25/09

Good Morning Everyone,

Friday I went down to our church library and took a mountain bike that had been in there for like 6 years and no one claimed it. My wife is now the ward librarian( she wanted it donated but she didn't think I was the one we were donated it to). I took it to a bike shop to get it fixed. I plan on biking to work from here on out. I figure that 5 mile ride round trip will help in my cardio. The speed limit signs said I was going 19mph. Half mile later I was doing 14mph. So that was yesterday.

This morning I work out again with a buddy from work.
Incline bench dumb bells
35 lbs x 10 warm up
45lbs x 10
55lbs x 8
60lbs 2 sets of 6

Flys on incline bench
20lbs x 10
25lbsx 10
30lbs set of 10

Flys with machine
40lbs x 10
35 lbs x 8
35lbs x 8

Machine bench
100 lbs 3 set of 8

Machine incline bench
100lbs 3 sets of 8

Tomorrow shoulders or back. A body part a day work out with cardio mixed through out the week.

Garrett, You were busy with scouts/ym so that in it self is a work out mentally right? Line upon line. You can't do it all all of the time. Your body needs to rest. That's why me and Eric are going to ride you until you back on and not get lazy. If you don't work out for a week or did not do something we are going to call and make fun of you. So if you don't want us to tease you in anyway, some type of work out is better than nothing, WHAT AM I THINKING I STILL GOING TO TEASE YOU NO MATTER WHAT!

Keep on it

I as well didn't do anything but shovel a butt load of heavy wet snow this weekend. including the crap the plow pushed into my driveway! Starting P90X tomorrow, wish me luck

Garrett stay on those workouts man, get up 30 minutes earlier if you need to, just get in the workouts some how. I know you're pressed for time but keep it up buddy, you've done good so far, keep going man. Just make time. When you get stuck on problem put the pen down, pump out 30 push-ups and start on the problem again. (That will get the "juices flowing" and I bet you'll think clearer). Keep on it man.

I havent done crap all weekend

Sorry I havet done anything all weekend. Im a slacker. But I thought that I would post for all you post Nazzies.

All this work is paying off big time

Today I ran
2.941 miles in 30 minutes
situps 3sets of 12
But I also had a great first day at the gym. All this at home is paying of in big lifts for me. Just to give you an idea in highschool my record bench was 255-2 times. I havent been able to bench over 180 since highschool. well let me finish the rest of my posts
bench
135 @ 10 reps
185 @ 7 reps
205# for 3 reps rember I havent benched in over a year and a half and even then it took me 2 months to get up to 170 for 5 reps.

Curl
35 @ 20 reps
40 @ 8 reps

swiss ball situps
3 sets of 12 reps

All this is starting to pay of for me in a big way. I could not belive that I would be able to bench that much. this is awsome. I hope everone is starting to see their own success.
I plan on bikeing this weekend I will post the miles and the time then.
talk to everone later
Eric Im sorry for not posting I will do better. Hey dont worry about the 20#s. Punk "I will give you an offer you cant refuse" J/K

Garrin

I don't bike alot but would like to get into it again. On my mission my companion and I would go do a single track in Yuma (SugarLoaf) every morning, like 3-4 miles. I loved doing that, we could only ever get half the track in before having to turn back to get ready for the day. Also on my mission I was on a bike for the last half in Phoenix so I got a lot of road biking in there, but nothing real intense, obviously. I need to get a good road bike to go along with my Mt. Bike (which needs to get fixed or just get different wheels for the same bike. You'll have to show me some tips when we get down there in April.

Today

Biked 4 miles, climbed up and down later with 20# tool belt all day (Does that count as anything)? J/K

Garrin,
I have a dog that motivates me to bike, during the summer I run, but when it's between -30 and +40 degrees out, biking is a little colder but much much faster. So I don't have to be out there as long. Diesel (dog) runs the whole time and most of the time is pushing me to go faster. I almost feel as though he deserves to have his workouts posted too!

Hello Everyone,

Road stationary bike intverals 30 minutes one minute on full speed one mintue rest.

Intveral running on tread mill 25 minutes run 5 to 6 mph for two minutes and rest at 1 mph for three. My trainer was having me do this to lose weight after lifting. You don't have to go for hr bike ride or run for hours and you will still get the same results.

Ill take that challenge

I start biking several miles a week and work my way up.
today
36 situps
90 curls at 25#

I will also talk to Kari to get her going.

Where are You?

Hey have any of you seen Garrett or Kari? Mister King of Workout Blog has not posted in a couple of days, I'm just wondering if that 20 lbs weight fell on him and he can't get up. I'm starting to get worried, might call sos for help.

An Idea For Me!

So Garrin has inspired me to ride atleast 22 miles avg. speed of 20 mph. on my bike by April 15 (Tax Day). So while this is kind of a long term goal, I would encourage you all to make a goal running or biking a long distance (over 10 miles) by that time as well. Garrett and Kari when we come down in April, we can all go out together and do a HardyChallenge marathon. And have a type of competition to see how far we have progressed in our effort to improve our health. Let me know what you all think and post what your long term goal will be. Good luck and Happy Birthday Grandma Kari!

Me and Diesel

Dog and I biked 4 miles today.

Hey it is awsome that everone is up and going again. Garrin as for the soda that is great if that works for you I dont have that kind of willpower. I must do all or nothing. So for me I had to quit cold turkey.
School also starts for me tomorrow and i must step it up if im to keep to the workouts. Currently im trying to build up the mucles around my hips so that my knee will not hurt.
Garrin is it 1500 calories or 3500 for one pound we should look that up.
Run 3.335 in 31 minutes
12o pushups and I changed it up by placing a 2o pound weight on my back for the last 20
36 situps
90 curls at 25#
Eric that is great. I dont know if I could bike in that cold of weather. But you are the man.
Is Mollie Interested in joining?
Keep up the good work guys

ROCK ON

Didn't do much today but I did ride the bike for 1.5 miles today and three times last week. (remember it's on average 0-40* here daily so riding gets a little chilly) I am working on getting my legs strengthened and then will begin P90X again.

I will allow for one soda a week for my self. You can't give up everything. Just cutting back on 32oz drinks twice a day will make a difference. Allowing yourself to have one will not hurt you. You have to burn a ton of calories to lose weight. I think it something like every 1500 calories you lose is one pound or something.

Talk with you all later.

Crappy weekend

I havnet done anything this weekend. I want everone to start monday and really kick it in the but. Let set some goals and keep them
My goals for this year is to run 5 miles with no break by Dec 31,09' and to get the six pack that I havent had sence highschool. I would also like to try a lot of new sports and become good at them. in order to accomplish these goals I need to continue to work out every day. I also gave up Soda pop that was great. I would encourage all of you to give it up as well. I was hard at first for about 2 months but now its not even a question. There are alternatives like caned lemonade or fruit puch that only has 5 calories per serving. A recient article that I read said that even diet soda will cause you to gain weight. The carbonation is also a poison to the body it will inhibit the flow of oxygen to the cells in your body.
Who is willing to try to give up Soda?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also as a side note. Im adding girls to the site. Maybe they will keepup with it a little better. So guys if your wife is intersted get her to sign up. Let me know, call me and we will set them up as users as well. Have them read through the blogs and get some picts up. Not everone is ok with puting their picts up. That is ok everyone needs to introduce themselfs when added and state the reason for joining the blog and list their goals and plans of action. My wife Kari has now been added and will also start. I woul also like to add everones phone numbers and encouage everone to stay on everones case. This will help all to stay motivated by accountiblity.
Thanks for joining Garin McGlinn.
Also please list tips and tricks that work for you or articles that you find. YouTube is a great place to find proper workoutform if you find a good video please cut and past the adress so we can all see it or visit the site.

New to this Game

Hello Everyone,

My name is Garrin. I have been friends with Garrett since 1989, but haven't kept in touch until recently. I am tired of being out of shape. So here I am to first write my first blog (surprising) and to get stronger.

I have been working out and riding a road bike for the last two years. Let me know what I can do for you or not. I will be posting picture later so you can see my progress.

I know Garrett loves to trash talk. So if that motivates him to TRY!!!! to out work me then thats okay. Talk with you all soon.

hey guys we have let it go for a while and we need to get it set up again. Lets stay motivated
Hints
I started using a swiss ball for situps. In a magizene i read that a swiss ball or excercise ball will give you the bet workout on your abs. dont do a ton of rep only do 8 to 12 reps.
The "Excercise ball" is very inexpensive at Wallmart about $9 to $15 so pick one up and do 3 sets of 12 reps every day
