well i just found out all my numbers dont mean crap cuz i was doing them wrong in the first place. so i om re postint my numbers as of to day are 10. this sucks, and as soon as i satarted to do the the right way my arm started to hurt again this crap so i guess ill see what happened but if this keep up then i can continue, sorry.

once you start to fail at pushups start to modify.
you can change your arm stance or go off your knees.
one other thing that helps me is by placing one foot over the back of the other one or spreading your feet far apart.

Where are you to your Goal.

Just wanted to check in today and get a few in before the bed. I let up a little but expect no mercy next week.
I am currently 1060 away from my goal of 2000 by Christmas so I have 6 day to do over 1000 pushups that is about 177 per day.
Eric make a goal of how many you want before Christmas and get it up there.

Some more tips on pushups

Chris I know that you got hurt doing pushups.
Note for future refrence when doing pushups make sure that the elbows tuck next to your sides when you lower yourself to the floor. Never allow your elbows to extend out to the sides.

Stay motivated threw the Holidays

Christmass is coming up and I want you guys to stay motivated. Try to stay away from the sweets and keep on those pushups. Find somting that drives you and push it.
Chris it is good to see some numbers up. Brett you are doing great you should start to see some serious definition in those arms keep up the good work.

Log for today and lifting tips

Hey guys
Brett you are doing great keep it up in no time at all you will notice that your bench will go up drasticly.
Chris where are you I hope to see some numbers tomorrow.
tip
Today I talked with a trainer for physical therapy and asked him what the deal was with lifting to get strong or to gain size or tone muscle and he said this
  1. To get tone and build endurance: 3 sets of 20 low weight.
  2. to get stonger with noticible size: 3 sets of 10 try to fail by the end of the last set if you feel you can do more that you need to up your weight next time.
  3. To get bulk: sets of 5 or less and you must fail but do not exceed the limit of 5 reps. Note that you usaly do not gain strength from this you only will gain size. (Trainer,2008)

What I mean by fail is that by your last rep you should almost not be able to get it up.

We want to build strenght. so Make sure that you are doing sets of 10 for lifts such as bench or curl. we want enduance for pushups so make sure that you get at least sets of 20 in.

Make A Christmas Goal

Hey guys I hope everthing went well today. Chris try to get some good sleep tonight I expect to see some be numbers tomorrow. Try to start watching what you are eating and drink a lot of fluids. One thing you might consider is giving up soda. I have been clean for almost 3 months now and it feels great. I read an article the other day the even diet soda has been proven to make you gain weight. any way think about it. Have you talked with Brett Yet? Lets get him on this site. Lets make a goal to hit before Christmas Day My Goad is to Hit 2000 pushups before that day. Lets see what you have that leave me 1400 in 13 days I think that math is right. but get your goal up there for everone to see.

Chris you are doing great dont get discouraged. A lot of thing you will start to notice. One being that you will start to gain your selfconfidence becuse you have a goal and you are stiking to it. Well it is only two weeks till Christmass I think I am ready how is little Ryan doing? Kenzie is definaly ready. The next step is to start eating better. Make sure that when you first get up you start off the day by eating a good healthy breakfast such as 2 pieces of toast with a little butter and 1/2 cup orange juce and one more of milk. After that eat at least one peice of fruit that is it no sausage and no eggs for the first couple of mornings I will give you a few more meals after that.
we need to get Brett on here will you call him and get him set up Chris?

well despite lack off sleep again, i fell pretty good about completing 160 push ups for 12-10-08, but i guess i owe it to the monster i drank along wit the two mt. dews with dinner other wise i would not have been able to do that many. but i must also add that count is 40 less then i would have liked to have done for today. oh wel there is alwas tomorow i guess, so lets see that is a total count if 600 altogether. i had planned on stopping at 150 but that would have left me at 590 for over all count and i would not have been satisfied by that and it would have bugged me all night so i decide i could do 10 more just to have the nice round number of 600. and i got brett's email for todays total and i was disapointed that i was only a smidge over 100 more then him on the over all count so i guess i better pick it and try harded. oh and as another motivational point i am only 400 shy of having a 1,ooo push ups. if all goes well, that is only two days worth of of push ups. as soon as i reach that point that means i am already 1/10 to the goal of 10,000. that makes me want to try that much harder. cant wait to hear from you guys.
